|
Prerequisite: You will need to be at least 16 years old and
be in good physical condition to acquire your Medical Certificate,
which also serves as your Student Pilot Certificate. You must be
able to read, speak and understand the English language.
Duration: The length of your training depends on many
factors. First, you need to determine if you want to study
full-time, or prefer a part-time schedule. Good preparation in
flight theory before you arrive for your training will shorten the
time significantly. The average full time course takes between 4 and
6 weeks.
Program: IATA, Inc. uses the Jeppesen syllabus, which is one
of the best in the industry. Starting with flight theory you will
learn about many topics such as aerodynamics, airport operations,
radio communications, aircraft systems, weather, weather reports,
navigation, physiology and regulations. We offer various tools to
help you master flight theory and pass the FAA written test. These
include: Supervised Home Study, Jeppesen Video Courses, and
Instructional Periods in classes or individually. FAA written tests
may be completed in-house at our Laser Grade Test Center. The
practical part of the program consists of minimum 30 hours flight
time with an instructor (dual time) and minimum 10 hours flight
training alone (solo time). Part 141 requires only 20 dual hours and
15 solo hours. During your solo time, you practice what you have
learned with your instructor. Progressively, you will be able to
perform all of the flight maneuvers and which you will demonstrate
during the final exam, which is called the "check-ride".
Valuable Final Product: Private Pilot License (PPL). This
enables you to fly aircraft under the category Single Engine Land
(SEL) for non-commercial use; the Night Flight rating is included.
Validation: In most countries, the US PPL can easily be

What do you think every VFR pilot dreams about? When it comes to
proficient flying, pilots seek a performance level in which
competence, accuracy, ease and professionalism are priorities. Few
situations are more disconcerting than contending with threatening
clouds and marginal weather and struggling with complex clearances.
Now with the IATA, Inc. IFR training program, you can progress a
step further and enter into a new realm of flying. You will become
the proficient pilot that you have longed to be by attaining your
Instrument Rating.
Prerequisites: Private Pilot License (PPL). If you are
training under Part 61 you will also need at least 50 hours of
cross-country time before you take your instrument check-ride.
(Note: Not all of your cross-country time during your PPL training
will count). The 50 hours cross-country time is NOT required for
instrument flight training under Part 141. We recommend a good
theoretical preparation before you start the practical training. You
must be able to read, speak and understand the English language. If

Duration: If your VFR flying skills are current and you are
well prepared with a general knowledge of instrument flying theory,
you can acquire the IFR license within 3 weeks on a full-time
schedule. If you require a more flexible schedule, it will take
approximately 4-5 weeks.
Program: IATA, Inc. uses the Jeppesen syllabus, which is one
of the best in the industry. We offer various tools to help you
master the theory and pass the FAA written test including Supervised
Home Study and Jeppesen Video Courses. The written test can be taken
at our on-site Lasergrade/Prometric Test Center. The practical part
of the program consists of minimum 40 flight training hours (35 with
our Part 141 program) until you qualify for the FAA check-ride.
During the 40 hours you will be trained under the IFR training hood.
An additional 5-10 hours training in IMC (Instrumental
Meteorological Conditions) is not mandatory but highly recommended
to sharpen your IFR skills in �real weather.�
Valuable Final Product: Instrument rating. This enables you
to fly aircraft under the category Single Engine Land (SEL) for
non-commercial use in IFR conditions. You must maintain the FAA
minimum flight requirements to maintain your IFR currency.
Validation: In some countries, the US IFR license can be
validated without additional testing. However, most of the European
countries require an additional written and practical test. Contact

Attaining your Multi-Engine Rating is one of the most exciting
transitions in flying. When flying at night, over huge bodies of
water or rugged terrain, having an additional engine is a reassuring
feeling in case of an emergency. Having an additional engine means
dramatically increased performance capabilities compared to a single
engine. You'll have more speed, improved payload capacity and a
better climb rate. However, if one engine quits you will not have
the expected 50% of power due to the asymmetrical thrust situation.
Engine out procedures will be addressed in the multi engine-training
course. IATA, Inc. uses a well-equipped Beechcraft Baron for
training. Once you have finished your training, you may be checked
out on other multi-engine aircraft and use them for trips anywhere
in the United States.
Prerequisites: Private Pilot License (PPL). You may start
with your multi-engine license right after your PPL. We recommend a
high-performance checkout first as well as some flight experience in
a single. This will shorten your training time in the twin. You
should be able to read, speak and understand the English language.

Duration: The VFR Multiengine Rating can be completed in 3-4
days. For the IFR add-on rating, you will usually need an additional
1-2 days.

thorough oral exam will need to be completed before your check-ride.
The oral will focus on: one-engine-out procedures, aircraft systems,
emergency procedures and weight and balance. For the IFR add-on you
need to fly two ILS approaches, one with both engines and one with
one-engine-inoperative (OEI).
Valuable Final Product: Multiengine certificate VFR or IFR.
This rating enables you to fly multiengine aircraft.

The Airline Transport Pilot license (ATP) is the final phase
of your training but marks the beginning of your
professional airline career. The most difficult requirement
to reach for an ATP is the 1500 total hours that is required
to qualify for the test. IATA, Inc. has set up programs that
will allow you to build experience as a Flight Instructor.
The ATP curriculum includes a great deal of theory. The
following steps are required to prepare for your ATP:
Prerequisite: 1500 hours total
time (500 hours cross-country, 100 hours night flight and 75
hours of instrument flight time, under the hood or actual)
and FAA Commercial Multi-Engine License with Instrument
Rating or Foreign ATP. (Joining the program with the ATP
written test passed will reduce time and cost).
Duration: The training itself can be done within 2
weeks if all prerequisites are met.
Program: IATA, Inc. uses the Jeppesen syllabus, which
is one of the best in the industry. We offer various tools
to help you master the theory and pass the FAA written test.
These include: Supervised Home Study, Jeppesen Video
Courses, Ground School in classes or on an individual basis.
The practical part consists of a minimum of 25 hours flight
time either in a Single Engine Complex aircraft (Single
Engine ATP) or in a Twin (Multi Engine ATP). The Practical
Test Standard (PTS) is comparable to the Commercial Exams,
although most standards are narrowed 50% or more for ATP
standards. If ATP standards and requirements are met, our
instructor will sign you off to take the check-ride. During
the oral exam, the primary focus is on overall aviation
theory, aircraft systems and FARs. The flight test
encompasses all maneuvers, IFR procedures, emergency
procedures, etc.
Valuable Final Product: Airline Transport Pilot
License (In the US, better known as ATP; In the ICAO
countries known as ATPL).

Aircraft Course (Turboprop)
The Turboprop Transition is your open door to companies since 90% of
airlines or air taxi operators use Turboprop Aircraft worldwide. A
turbine transition is the transition you make by moving up from
piston powered aircraft to turbine powered aircraft (Turbo
propeller). The purpose of this program is to prepare candidates who
hold a commercial pilot license with multi-engine and instrument
rating for flying turbine powered propeller aircraft in crew
conditions.
The IATA Turboprop Transition Program will be in the Beechcraft King
Air and/or King Air 90 Simulator. We will train students in the
aircraft systems and procedures found in turbine powered aircraft
and emphasis CRM -Cockpit Resource Management- in a crew concept
environment similar to airline flight crew settings.
Prerequisites: A Commercial Pilot license with Multi-Engine
and Instrument Rating. You must be able to read, speak and
understand the English language. If your English is not sufficient,

Duration: The Turboprop Transition can be completed in 4-5
days.

oral will focus on: crew operation, cockpit resource management,
performance, limitations, aircraft systems, engine, propellers,

students directly to the Professional Pilot ratings to qualify them
to work as a Commercial Pilot. Add-on Instructor ratings are

licenses: Private Pilot Airplane, Instrument Rating Airplane, and
Commercial Pilot Airplane with Multi-Engine Land. This course offers

Teaching others how to fly is a challenging task but it gives you
additional safety awareness and confidence. If you are a competent
teacher and make successful flyers out of your students, you create
a great source for gratification and admiration. You also have the
chance to build up your flying hours toward the 1500 hours required
to obtain your Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license. Keep in mind,
maintaining a steadfast commitment is most important to becoming a
professional flight instructor. It is a big responsibility, but your
personal gains will go beyond your expectations. International
Airline Training Academy, Inc. has set the highest standards for its
own staff and we expect the same from our future flight instructors.
Prerequisite: Commercial Certificate.
CFI Program: Training can be completed between 3-6 weeks,
depending on how current you are with applicable aeronautical
knowledge and your commercial flying skills. You need to pass two
written tests, the Fundamentals of Instructing (FOI) and the
Flight/Ground Instructor Test (FIGI). Both written tests may be
completed in-house at our Lasergrade Test Center. The CFI Training
Program includes 10 hours in a Cessna 150 and 7 hours in a Complex
aircraft. Emphasis will be placed on overall knowledge, lesson
planning and how to teach. After you have passed your flight test,
you will be a Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI).
CFII Program: For instructing IFR students you will need to
acquire another license. This is called the Certificated Flight
Instructor for Instruments (CFII). You will need to pass a written
test at our in-house Prometric Test Center. The training program can
be completed with our Cessna 172 and includes 10 hours of training
from the right seat. You must be proficient at flying IFR from the
right seat in order to instruct your first IFR student.
MEI Program: As a professional flight instructor we highly
recommend that you acquire the Multi Engine Instructor (MEI). You
need approximately 15 hours of multi instruction where you will fly
the aircraft from the right seat. All flight operations and
procedures will need to be mastered from the right side in this
multi engine training. There is no written test required, but an
extensive oral and flight test will need to be completed. |

IATA Schools offer a variety of ways to obtain your FAA Aircraft

IATA currently offers two courses for the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher
license. Courses for 200 hours of instruction are available.
The 200 hour course is designed for individuals with little or no
experience in aviation. This course is offered in 6 weeks day and 8
weeks evening formats.
